You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one. John 8:15

As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world but to save it. John 12:47

Discussion: God never judges. God is never angry with us, never vengeful, never condemning, never punishes. God is boundless love and compassion. God is always reaching out to the whole human race, striving to bring us love, peace, and to give us as much joy as we can bear. Think about someone you love and care about deeply. Don’t you expend every effort to ease their cares, give them gifts and tokens of love, and do all you can to make them happy—feeling your own joy when they are happy? How much more is this the case for the Source of all love.

But there is judgment of a sort—self-judgment. We have the free will to turn away from God’s love and to create a hell for ourselves of misery, isolation, and alienation from love.

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me—Revelation 3:20.
